Car Insurance Lincoln (Car Insurance). If i buy a used car for full with cash will they drop a grand or two..?If i buy a used car for full with cash will they drop a grand or two..? okay im looking at buying a car this summer its used for 16,990 and im gonna pay for the whole car.. in cash if i did would the dealer nock off some of the price.???? if ur wondering its an 06 bmw 525i for my 16th birthday. they might. a big bundle of 100s is one hell of a bargaining tool. you need to decide ahead of time what you are willing to pay. if the salesman does not give an INSTANT yes to your offer, you walk out immediately. tolerate NO "i gotta go talk to the sales manager" wheedling or quibbling. Well it depends on how much you want them to lower their price. But because it's a dealer it may be hard to do. :) Nobody but the dealer can answer that question. I could say "sure, they'll take any offer you give them" and be lying to you. Just make the dealership an offer. All they can do is say no. If they refuse, walk away. They may reconsider and call you back, or you may find something better for the money you have to spend. Just don't seem too eager to buy the car or they won't budge from their price. well if your loooking for that kind of car and have the money in cash , ust look on craigslist , just bring a machanic with yu yu'll save some money , and nice car :D make sure that car doesnt have a s*** load of miles yea usually this is the case, but i cant say for sure. also maybe reconsider the bmw...if you need any car parts or need it fixed it is going to cost way more than other cars because it is a german car. same goes for mercedes, porsche etc. Auto parts : Sander Acura 1995 . Lincoln . How to Look for Wear or Cracks on Belts in a Chevy CobaltChevy introduced the Cobalt in 2005 as its new economical compact car. These cars appeal to younger people, and many owners like to take care of routine maintenance themselves. One important item not to overlook is the accessory drive belt. This "serpentine belt" runs a variety of engine components. To keep your Cobalt running well, Chevy recommends inspecting the belt periodically, starting at 15,000 miles. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Step by Step : 1 Pull the lever inside your Chevy Cobalt to pop the hood. Walk around to the front of the car and open the hood, making sure to prop it up 2 Look for a belt that runs around several different engine components; a good place to start looking is around the alternator, to the left of the engine. The belt routing varies between the 2.0L and 2.2L engines. 3 Do a visual inspection of the drive belt. Look for cracks in the belt as well as fraying. These are signs that the belt needs replacing. 4 Feel along the length of the belt in your Chevy Cobalt. If the belt feels glossy or smooth, this is a sign that the belt is worn. A belt in good condition will have a slight texture to it. 5 Look for oil on the belt; if you find any, this could be a sign of a major problem, like a leaking head gasket. Replace the belt and find the source of the leak as soon as possible. 6 Close the hood of your Chevy Cobalt. If you found any fraying, cracks or glossy spots on the drive belt, you should replace it. Tips & Warnings Make sure you allow your Chevy Cobalt's engine to cool before you start working. You don't want to risk burning yourself. Give it at least 30 minutes, if you've recently driven the car. ResourcesReplacement belts for 2005-2007 Chevy Cobalt.
Lincoln . How to Look for Wear or Cracks on Belts in a Chevy AvalancheThe Chevy Avalanche appeals to families and singles as well as heavy-duty construction contractors. As part of your routine maintenance, inspect the drive belts that run your engine components. If one of these belts breaks, you could damage your engine. Chevy recommends you inspect these belts every 60,000 miles. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Step by Step : 1 Let your engine cool down, if you've been driving your Chevy Avalanche. It's wise to wait at least 30 minutes to allow the engine enough time to cool before you start your inspection. 2 Pop the hood of your Chevy Avalanche. Prop it open and look around for the drive belts. Most of these trucks have a single serpentine belt that runs the alternator, air conditioning compressor, power steering pump and water pump, although some of the smaller engines have a separate belt running the air conditioning compressor. 3 Look at the belts and search for any kind of fraying, cracking or tearing. All of these are signs that a belt needs replacing. A "healthy" belt will have a slight texture to it, like fabric. You may have to crawl beneath the truck to see the underside of the belt where it runs around the lower half of the components. 4 Use your hands to feel along the entire length of the belts in your Chevy Avalanche. If a belt feels glossy or smooth, that means the belt is worn and needs replacing. You should be able to feel the natural texture of the belt, if it's in good shape. 5 Check for any oil on the belts. If you find any, you could have an oil leak, in which case, you not only need to replace the belt, but you also need to locate the leak and fix the leak. 6 Close the hood and consider your inspection. If you think any of the belts need replacing, you can do it yourself or take your Chevy Avalanche to a mechanic. If there's air in your brake lines, air bubbles will be in the fluid. Seeing these bubbles is easiest if you're using the hose-in-the-jar method, but you can also see them without it. 7. Before your friend releases the brake pedal, tighten the bleeder screw. If you don't, air is sucked back into the brake lines when the pedal is released. 8. Tell your friend to release the pedal, and listen for "Up." Then repeat the whole loosening and tightening sequence again and again until no more air bubbles come out with the fluid. 9. Open your master cylinder and add more brake fluid to the "Full" Lincoln . How do you junk a car in tx without the title?
Nissan GT-R. * line. If you neglect to do so, you run the risk of draining all the fluid out of the master cylinder and drawing air into the lines from the top. Now, that isn't fatal — it simply means that you have to go back and bleed your master cylinder until you suck the air out of that end of the system — but who needs the extra work? If you goof and have to bleed the master cylinder, it's the same deal as bleeding your brakes (friend and all). Just bleed it at the point where the brake lines attach to the cylinder, or at the master cylinder bleeder nozzle, if you have one (see Figure 18-16). 10. Repeat these steps with each brake until the air is out of each brake line, remembering to add brake fluid to the master cylinder after you bleed each brake. 11. Lincoln . The brake pedal should no longer feel spongy when you depress it. If it does, check the master cylinder again to be sure that it's full and try bleeding the brakes one more time (this situation isn't unusual, and it doesn't take as long as it sounds). If you know that no air is left in the lines and the brakes still don't feel right, you may need a new master cylinder. You should definitely consider installing it yourself — at an auto class. All it involves is disconnecting the old master cylinder (a bolt or two and the hoses leading to the brake lines), removing it without spilling brake fluid on anything painted, installing the new one, filling it with brake fluid, and bleeding it. If the job seems like too much of a hassle, have a professional do the work. You shouldn't have to pay for much labor, and if you choose a brake shop wisely, the whole deal shouldn't cost too much. Whatever you do, just be sure that, when the job is finished, they (or you) bleed the brakes and the master cylinder to get all the air out of the lines. .Chapter 18: Being a Buddy to Your Brakes and Bearings !? (\2 Figure 18-16: Bleeding a master cylinder: If you have a bleeder nozzle, use the hose and jar method (A). If not, bleed the cylinder at the brake line connections (B). Back in the 1970s, I had Tweety Bird's master cylinder replaced for about $60. (It would cost much more now.) Later, I helped a friend replace a master cylinder with a rebuilt one. The rebuilt master cylinder cost about half of what I'd paid for a new one, and there were no labor charges (naturally). What are your time and trouble worth to you?
